Andrew Kuria
Andrew is a Civil Analyst at Kimley-Horn, an engineering, planning, and design consulting firm in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He first-generation American and a Virginia Tech graduate with a degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering, specializing in Land Development, Sustainability, and Urban Planning. In addition to his professional and educational development, Andrew enjoys participating in clubs and organizations, sports, and activities that provide opportunities for personal growth and the acquisition of new skills.
Andrew is deeply passionate about how work and living spaces impact the people who use them. He loves expanding his knowledge of human-centric design, environmental sustainability, smart technology, green energy, and economically efficient buildings, with the goal of incorporating these aspects into future living and working spaces to improve quality of life.
His interests also include real estate development and entrepreneurship, with a long-term ambition to create his own company in the real estate development industry, focused on smart, sustainable, and environmentally conscious developments.
Outside of his career, Andrew enjoys snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and camping. Traveling, especially to national parks, is one of his favorite activities, and he hopes to explore even more destinations in the future!
